Introduction
We have a retail department store located in China Mall, Amalgam (JHB) stocking a wide variety of homeware products; accessories; stationery and makeup.
A new opportunity exists for a Cashier to join our team
The successful person will report into the Store Manager and his/her primary role will be to assist customers with the in-store check-out process.
Duties & Responsibilities
– Handle cash, credit or card transactions with customers
– Scan goods and collect payments
– Ensure pricing is correct
– Issue change, receipts and/or refunds
– Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and
that there is adequate change
– Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
– Bag items carefully
– Process returns and check to see if items are damaged
– Deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Desired Experience & Qualification
– Clear criminal record
– Matric
– Minimum of 3 years experience as a Cashier
– Retail experience essential
– Ability to work retail hours and weekends
– Honest and reliable
– Must be pleasant and customer-centric
– Ability to work under pressure
– Attention to detail, accuracy and focused
Package & Remuneration
R30,51 per hour
