Introduction
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid grade 12 / matric certificate
- Previous cashier/cash handling and point-of-sale expertise
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
Key Performance Area:
- Process sales transactions and payments
- Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide a receipt to customer
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Process layaways, returns, exchanges and resolve customer complaints
- Maintain a clean and organised cashier area
- Monitor and restock items as needed
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
