This exciting opportunity exist in our Clothing Division and will be based at our offices in Kenilworth – Cape Town. We are currently looking for Area Manager Clothing to oversee the execution of the store standards, human resources, promotional execution and finance, Admin, maintenance of clothing stores. Monitor the execution of standards, promotions in clothing departments within Corporate Stores.
Grade 12 (matric)/N3 equivalent/Clothing degree
5 – 8 years Clothing Retail Senior Store management experience – Must have relieved in a Area Manager capacity or currently/previously overseeing a cluster of Clothing stores.
Must be computer literate
SAP knowledge is an added advantage
Drivers Licence (extensive local travelling)
Duties & Responsibilities
As a core business partner, the incumbents duties will be including but not limited:
- Conduct monthly coordinators checklist and monitor merchandise standards
- Monitor new lines available and merchandise according to dispatch guidelines
- Monitor total range display
- Ensure new stores merchandised according to layouts in time for opening
- Monitor customer service standards adhered to
- Ensure that there is availability of stock at all times to meet demand and supply in the store
- Innovating store specific turnover rescue plans to grow sales
- Analyse sales by category to identify opportunities to drive turnover on an ongoing basis
- Prepare, justify and administer budgets in accordance with organizational goals and strategies; identify cost saving opportunities
- Ensure expenses are accurately forecasted, controlled, and modified in alignment with business performance
- Ensure promotion and display standards are adhered to
- Ensure general maintenance standards are adhered to –authorises any necessary spend
- Monitor security processes/ procedures in place
- Lead and monitor team performance, and works with team members to adjust activities or timelines as circumstances warrant; provides feedback and guidance to team members as necessary
- Establish open communication channels across functional levels to support interaction and open dialogue among team members; inspires and motivates team members to work collaboratively
- Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, focusing on all aspects of sound people management
