takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Junior Shift Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Johannesburg Distribution Center.

This position reports to the Department Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispatch KPI’s – Customer orders to be placed on milkruns as per KPI’s
- Cost control – manage labour / heads on shift vs volumes and hours
- Housekeeping – manage the team to ensure they keep area’s within standards
- Goals – ensure that each individual has a clear understanding of their goals
- Review internal processes and continue to iterate and innovate to improve department continuously
- Apply our company values into daily tasks

- Preferred experience in:
- E-commerce experience
- ERP systems knowledge

- Performance management skills – knowledge of Industrial Relations and practices
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 – National Senior Certificate
- Supply Chain or Logistics higher certificate is preferred.
- 3-5 years Supervisory experience in logistics or distribution environment
- People management experience, good oral and written communication skills
- Decision making and problem solving ability
- Ability to manage change within a logistics operation
- Will commit and achieve targets and project timelines.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends if necessary, in an operational 7/365 environment
- Self-starter with high energy levels a must
- Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
