- • Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides) • Dust is allayed • Safe ground conditions • Temporary support is installed • Gas free workplace • Misfires are indicated • Prescribed support standards are met. • Safety and Risk compliance • Test for Methane • Test for common gasses and CH4 • Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides) • Broken rock is removed within the specified time limit • Blasting barricades are installed/moved forward • Strike and centre gullies cleaned of broken rock • Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides) • Hanging, sidewall and face is barred to solid • Footwall is cleaned to the correct distance from the face • Sockets are washed and plugged • Misfires are dealt with • Services and ventilation requirements are within the prescribed requirements • Safety and Risk compliance • Maintained drill and hoses • Greased Lubricator • Inspect machine air leg and drill steel • Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides) • Drilling equipment is correctly assembled and dissembled. • Holes are drilled on the indicated marks, to the correct depth, line and dip • Drilling is completed within the specified time frame • Safety and Risk compliance • Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides) • Persons are removed from the affected area, correct tools and equipment are used, and holes are charged to the prescribed limits and where necessary tamped. • Igniter cord spacing and pattern is correct, precautions to prevent fires are taken, initiator and attachments are correctly attached and precautions are taken to prevent unauthorized entry. • Explosives and accessories are transported and stored according to the prescribed requirements.
