Drives a bus to transport passengers on scheduled services over<br \/>\nestablished routes. Controls lighting, heating and ventilation for the passengers. Observes prescribed speeds, traffic, travelling conditions<br \/>\nan signals to ensure the safe arrival of passengers. Ensures passengers arrive at destinations on time. Holds the appropriate license and a PrDP.<br \/>\nThis category is restricted commercial contrast which are not subsidized by government.<\/p>\n<p>What unique contribution does this work make to the organization?<br \/>\nMust have a Public Services Driving License (PG), mastery of defensive and preventive driving techniques, ensuring the safety of both passengers and other road users. Furthermore, you must know and strictly obey traffic laws, avoiding infractions and accidents. Comply with company code of conduct, policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements<br \/>\nQualification: Grade 12, Job-specific training, and Driver&#8217;s license categories: CE \u2013 G, CE \u2013 PG, and C \u2013 G.<br \/>\nExperience: At least 5 years of experience in the same or similar position.<br \/>\nDuties &amp; Responsibilities<br \/>\nWSWPs procedures involved in their activities;<br \/>\nRead, understand, and accept the code of conduct;<br \/>\nUnitrans Passenger rules and regulations;<br \/>\nRead and understand the drivers manual;<br \/>\nReport near misses and\/or incidents and property damage even if you were not involved;<br \/>\nRead and understand HST regulations and policies;<br \/>\nAvoid involvement in incidents and accidents as much as possible when driving;<br \/>\nRecognize the importance of safety and practice safe habits;<br \/>\nImmediately report any incidents or related matters to Management;<br \/>\nKnow all written procedures involved in your activities;<br \/>\nInspect the bus for deviations from standards or malfunctions;<br \/>\nRecord deviations\/defects in the check checklist and report to supervisor;<br \/>\nDepending on the nature of the deviation\/malfunction, the driver will either start the journey or not until the deviation\/malfunction is resolved;<br \/>\nParticipate in the DSS session with the Supervisor and HST at the Unitrans parks and Vulcan Site;<br \/>\nParticipate in training;<br \/>\nRegister passengers on the trip;<br \/>\nCheck that the vehicle is being refueled and kept clean at all times;<br \/>\nRecord and report all events\/incidents and accidents that occurred during a trip to supervisor and line 84\/822030;<br \/>\nAdhere to traffic laws;<br \/>\nAdhere to the customer&#8217;s SMS policy;<br \/>\nComplete the log books properly;<br \/>\nKeep a log of activities and always record updated hours in the log book;<br \/>\nMaintain a positive attitude towards customers;<br \/>\nDo not deviate from your route on your own initiative or under the influence of employees;<br \/>\nMake stops only in places authorized by the company, unless instructed by your superior;<br \/>\nAccess authorized locations, avoiding route deviations;<br \/>\nRespect signage and speed limit;<br \/>\nIt is mandatory for drivers of motor vehicles to remove the keys from the ignition after mobilizing the vehicle before leaving;<br \/>\nControl of the ignition key is the driver&#8217;s responsibility while it is in his possession;<br \/>\nIt is mandatory to start vehicles or equipment by positioning themselves inside the cabin;<br \/>\nIt is mandatory to block the vehicle&#8217;s wheels with two chocks after parking;<br \/>\nIt is mandatory to use seat belts for the driver and all occupants of the vehicle;<br \/>\nIt is mandatory to drive with a valid driving license and RAC2 card;<br \/>\nEnsure the conservation and good use of vehicles;<br \/>\nReport to the Manager and Supervisor on duty any damage suffered to the vehicle resulting from its use;<br \/>\nComply with the collection times described on the Job card;<br \/>\nDo not perform overtaking maneuvers between Unitrans vehicles except in cases where the vehicle in front of you has mechanical problems and when authorized;<br \/>\nIt is not permitted to make stops after unloading passengers at the end of the journey.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unitrans.erecruit.co\/candidateapp\/Jobs\/View\/UNI240628-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>BUS DRIVER DETAILS Closing Date 2024\/07\/05 Reference Number UNI240628-7 Job TitleBus DriverBusiness Unit \/ DivisionPeople TransportContractMB TransportJob Type ClassificationPermanent &#8211;
