The Mining Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day mining operations, managing production activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing resource utilization in the South African mining industry. This role plays a crucial part in achieving production targets, maintaining operational efficiency, and promoting a safe work environment.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9040931780721427\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-format=\"autorelaxed\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9040931780721427\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"5167572988\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<br \/>\nEnforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and incidents<\/p>\n<p>Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify and address hazards.<\/p>\n<p>Promote awareness and establish appropriate departmental targets to prevent harm<\/p>\n<p>Ensure all hazards and sources of loss are identified, evaluated, and controlled in accordance with SHE Policies and the Safety Management Standards<\/p>\n<p>Take all reasonable measures to ensure the health and safety of employees and proper discipline at the Mine<\/p>\n<p>Supervise and coordinate mining activities to ensure efficient production.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor equipment performance and maintenance to maximize uptime.<\/p>\n<p>Implement operational plans to meet production targets and quality standards.<\/p>\n<p>Compile daily and weekly mining reports for the operation.<\/p>\n<p>Consistently apply workplace management procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, agreed values and behaviors and Code of Conduct<\/p>\n<p>Support effective employee relations practices<\/p>\n<p>Ensure employees are trained and held accountable for roles<\/p>\n<p>Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor and control operational costs to maximize efficiency and profitability.<\/p>\n<p>Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.<\/p>\n<p>Desired Experience &amp; Qualification<br \/>\nQualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade 12<\/p>\n<p>Blasting Certificate for Open Cast Mines or equivalent<\/p>\n<p>Explosives Responsible Certification (Advantageous)<\/p>\n<p>Mining Engineering Degree\/Diploma (Advantageous)<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9040931780721427\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-format=\"autorelaxed\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9040931780721427\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"5167572988\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>Code 8 Driver\u2019s Licence<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>7 years minimum experience in Surface Mining<\/p>\n<p>Management of Diverse Teams<\/p>\n<p>3 years minimum supervisory experience<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnet.co.za\/jobs--Mining-Superintendent-Northern-Cape-Hotazel-Moepo-Wa-Africa-Pty-Ltd--3880934-inline.html?rltr=1_1_25_seorl_m_0_0_0_0_0_0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Introduction An exciting position has become vacant at our Tawana Hotazel Mine, in the Northern Cape.
