The Team Leader Packaging will be required to ensure that the line is always available for production and then produces at the rated speed and perfect quality with minimal waste through optimum maintenance execution<\/em>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"item\">\n<td class=\"label\"><span class=\"item-label\">Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/span><\/td>\n<td class=\"value\">Ensure delivery and quality of required services to Packaging department &amp; Plant operations\u2022 Maintain the assets in the Packaging environment \u2022Check and ensure that team members carry out required quality checks and that the information is recorded on the appropriate systems \u2022Ensure that team members understand and adhere to the operational, quality and process standards, work instructions and maintenance schedules, work practice deployment plans and performance targets \u2022Carry out quality trend analysis to identify problems and decide on appropriate course of action \u2022Coach and support team members in using the correct problem solving techniques (such as 5Why, etc.) to solve situational problems \u2022Develop team members and ensure that training needs are identified and closed out via one-on-one\u2019s and performance reviews \u2022Ensures that team members implement and adhere to divisional standards \u2022Review and sign off of shift performance (QCDSM) and ensuring that all required administrative tasks in support of the production team are carried out \u2022Ensures that the line is ready for maintenance and that it starts up on time post maintenance \u2022Prepare for the daily shift meeting by reviewing past shift performance and identifying issues for team discussion \u2022Ensure that waste reduction and process improvement goals are incorporated into team goals, and the team understands these goals \u2022 Ensure that improvement goals are tracked and displayed in meeting rooms.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"item\">\n<td class=\"label\"><span class=\"item-label\">Skills, Experience &amp; Education<\/span><\/td>\n<td class=\"value\">Grade 12 \u2022 Technical diploma (N6) in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation and\/or 3 year relevant technical\/production related tertiary qualification \u2022Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) will be an added advantage \u2022Three (3) years technical and leadership experience in a FMCG environment \u2022Understanding of The Manufacturing Way \/ WCM \/ Lean practices and principles \u2022Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Packaging processes and Critical Equipment\u2022 Proven Leadership skills and management capability \u2022 Attention to detail and commitment to quality \u2022Excellent interpersonal, communication and Problem Solving Skills\u2022 Understanding of SHE policies and procedures \u2022Ability to identify gaps and initiate improvement activities \u2022Ability to train and coach own team.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"item\">\n<td class=\"label\"><span class=\"item-label\">General<\/span><\/td>\n<td class=\"value\">\n<ul>\n<li>Written &amp;
