The purpose of this role is to\u00a0assist\u00a0with the oversight of\u00a0picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, and administrative functions. The successful Assistant\u00a0Warehouse Assistant\u00a0Warehouse\u00a0Manager\u00a0will hold a strategic role and deal with\u00a0assisting in\u00a0planning, co-ordinating, administration and general management issues including the management of staff and Team Leaders.<br \/>\n<strong>Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to:<\/strong><strong>Warehouse<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist\u00a0with the development\u00a0and implementation of\u00a0stock control\u00a0policies.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0in supervising\u00a0the reconciliation of stock,\u00a0monitor\u00a0and\u00a0report\u00a0stock variances.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0to ensure\u00a0that the warehouse is\u00a0operating\u00a0effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0in monitoring daily stock counts,\u00a0identifying\u00a0problems, shortages in\u00a0shipments\u00a0etc,investigating and taking corrective action thereon.<\/li>\n<li>Accounting for stock losses and ensuring effective controls are implemented to prevent stock theft.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in ensuring\u00a0turn-around and lead times are adhered to by constantly\u00a0monitoring\u00a0performance by addressing and reporting\u00a0poor\u00a0performance.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in supervision of\u00a0inbound parts as well as\u00a0unpacking,\u00a0checking of\u00a0products.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0in overseeing\u00a0the distribution of stock as per allocation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure shipments are received, checked,\u00a0allocated\u00a0and distributed to branches within the prescribed\u00a0time frame.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in ensuring\u00a0proper supervision\u00a0is in place to\u00a0manage\u00a0all items returned for credit (RFC\u2019s) daily.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in supervising\u00a0parts returned to suppliers, ensuring that it takes place\u00a0at least once a week.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0with\u00a0staff time off and scheduling.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting\u00a0in\u00a0the learning\u00a0and development of staff.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight and enforcement of discipline on warehouse floor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Supervision<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in providing\u00a0leadership and guidance to direct reports when\u00a0required\u00a0at Warehouse.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in evaluating\u00a0performance of direct reports by conducting performance reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in ensuring that all processes, procedures and working conditions fall within legal\u00a0requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in defining\u00a0warehouse goals and\u00a0objectives\u00a0along with methods and measurements to achieve such goals.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in developing\u00a0subordinates in all\u00a0facets\u00a0of warehouse\u00a0functions.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the supervision of\u00a0the drivers, vehicle\u00a0maintenance\u00a0and distribution routes.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in overseeing\u00a0Branch\u00a0Security and\u00a0Personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in ensuring\u00a0Gemba\u00a0Board adherence\u00a0and\u00a0that meetings\u00a0are conducted\u00a0regularly.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in ensuring\u00a0Policy\u00a0adherence\u00a0and\u00a0compliance\u00a0of\u00a0BSOP.<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0in implementing\u00a0and\u00a0overseeing\u00a0Health &amp; Safety Regulations\u00a0and compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies, Knowledge, and\u00a0Skills<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum\u00a0Grade 12\u00a0qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Tertiary qualification in warehouse\/logistics- desirable<\/li>\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience in warehouse, automotive industry- Essential<\/li>\n<li>Must have\u00a0previous\u00a0Warehouse Supervisor\/Manager\u00a0experience.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Show\u00a0ability\u00a0to understand and grasp issues\u00a0that arise\u00a0in the warehouse and to be able to\u00a0come up with\u00a0solutions that meet the\u00a0Warehouse\u00a0Manager\u00a0\/ Branch\u00a0Manager\u2019s expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory skills: planning and prioritizing the work of others, controlling projects.<\/li>\n<li>Clearly\u00a0assigning\u00a0responsibility for tasks and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Setting clear\u00a0objectives\u00a0and measures.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring process, progress, and results.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a good understanding of all the legislation,\u00a0example\u00a0the Health and Safety Act,\u00a0Labour\u00a0Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment\u00a0act, the Employment Equity etc.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a good understanding of warehouse and\u00a0logistics\u00a0management and have a \u201chands on\u201d operating style.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate.<\/li>\n<li>Decision making skills: initiate actions, take decisions, make\u00a0recommendations in the warehouse.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating skills: can negotiate\u00a0skillfully\u00a0in\u00a0difficult situations\u00a0with internal and external groups. Can settle differences.<\/li>\n<li>Can win concessions without damaging relationships. Can direct and forceful as well as\u00a0diplomatic.<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen: know how business\u00a0work.
