It\u2019s primary objective therefore centres around strict timelines, efficiency and cost effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This position reports to the General Manager Primary Logistics<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for the overall running of the facility and all other secondary roles which flow from this function<\/li>\n<li>Ensure operations costs are in line with budget<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the on-time delivery of product to\/from the distribution centre<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for implementation and effective utilization of system(s) which will ensure that all product within the warehouse and\/or entering or leaving the warehouse is accurately identified and distributed\/delivered timeously<\/li>\n<li>Ensure efficient warehousing with timeous movement of product.<\/li>\n<li>Extracts data and generates reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure consistent application of Company policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Trains and supervise employees to carry out the functions under their control.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain health and safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and other company standards<\/li>\n<li>Identifies value-creation opportunities for the company in the movement and distribution of the product.<\/li>\n<li>Works closely with senior management and Human Resources to resolve issues and ensure quality service to our customers.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machines.<\/li>\n<li>Perform all other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Attributes required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance environment.<\/li>\n<li>Must have good attention to details, and be able to manage the big picture and continuous changes in customer requests and deliveries of product.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.<\/li>\n<li>Good written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the materials function with a bottom line result.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric qualification<\/li>\n<li>8 or more years of related work and knowledge, required<\/li>\n<li>Diploma or Degree in Logistics\/Supply Chain advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boards.greenhouse.io\/takealotcom\/jobs\/5625320\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply Here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented\u00a0Hub Manager\u00a0to join our Takealot\u00a0Delivery team\u00a0in\u00a0New Road, Johannesburg.
