JOB SUMMARY AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.1 The\u00a0<strong>Driver and Storeman<\/strong>\u00a0will be responsible for deliveries, as well as the physical handling of<\/p>\n<p>stock, inventory control and assisting with the application of proper storekeeping management<\/p>\n<p>methods. This function includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<p>1.1.1 Receiving stock.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.2 Packing of stock in a correct and safe manner.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.3 Ensuring that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.4 Assisting customers with loading orders.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.5 Deliveries to customers. Effective and expedient deliveries using the most efficient<\/p>\n<p>routes, ensuring proper time keeping and adhering to all road rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.6 Loading and offloading stock.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.7 Ensuring that stock being dispatched to customers is correct according to delivery<\/p>\n<p>notes.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.8 Ensuring that delivery notes are signed correctly by customers and that copies thereof<\/p>\n<p>are returned and submitted to the administration department.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.9 Collection of orders from local suppliers. Effective and expedient collections using<\/p>\n<p>the most efficient routes, ensuring proper time keeping and adhering to all road rules<\/p>\n<p>and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.10 General maintenance of the vehicle (i.e. fill fuel tank of vehicle, maintain the correct<\/p>\n<p>tyre pressure, keeping the vehicle clean and tidy, and washing the vehicle).<\/p>\n<p>1.1.11 Indicating to the Office Coordinator when the vehicle is due for a service and\/or repair.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.12 Handling of all relevant paperwork and submitting same to the administration<\/p>\n<p>department (i.e. petrol slips, toll fees slips etc.).<\/p>\n<p>1.1.13 Assisting with stock take.1.1.14 Attending to any other related tasks on an\u00a0<em>ad hoc<\/em>\u00a0basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. LOCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cape Town, Brackenfell office, and any such other locations or destinations as determined by the<\/p>\n<p>Employer from time to time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3.1 Reports to: Office Coordinator, Cape Town and Inventory and Warehouse Controller.<\/p>\n<p>3.2 Manages: None.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. SKILLS and REQUIRED COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4.1 Organisational skills.<\/p>\n<p>4.2 Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.<\/p>\n<p>4.3 Good communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. REQUIRED PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5.1 Attention to detail.<\/p>\n<p>5.2 Ability to prioritise.<\/p>\n<p>5.3 Sense of urgency and time management.<\/p>\n<p>5.4 Self-driven and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.<\/p>\n<p>5.5 Flexibility to manage more than one task at any given time.<\/p>\n<p>5.6 Ability to use common warehouse machinery and equipment.<\/p>\n<p>5.7 Ability to maintain systematic stock records and inventories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.
