External<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ref no: KHT052\/24GS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date: 14 June 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of plans to manage Seriti Coal\u2019s Engineering Assets, Resources and Infrastructure \u2013 availability of machinery and equipment and managing resources and people to achieve planned production targets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities will include but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain safe work practices and a safe working environment by ensuring that legal requirements and group working standards and policies related to engineering are implemented and followed on the Operations and Projects<\/li>\n<li>Optimise planned maintenance schedules of machinery and equipment ensuring that equipment is effectively maintained<\/li>\n<li>Research and implement best practice systems with respect to cost, maintenance, safety and people management<\/li>\n<li>Effective People management, ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability<\/li>\n<li>Financial Budgeting &amp; Management<\/li>\n<li>Participate in ad hoc projects providing input into drafting of scope for new projects<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of non-flameproof and flameproof diesel equipment and associated hydraulic\/pneumatic components<\/li>\n<li>Manage underground diesel dispensing equipment<\/li>\n<li>Management of critical spares and sub-assemblies (stock levels\/turnaround time and quality of repairs)<\/li>\n<li>Structural integrity maintenance management<\/li>\n<li>Managing structural\/mechanical\/hydraulic drawing libraries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N4 Technical certificate and recognised Trade Test in the relevant discipline or National Diploma or Engineering Degree<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience as an appointed 2.9.2 Engineering Foreman<\/li>\n<li>Safety &amp; Risk Management Course<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Relevant Legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals and Energy Act, Basic Conditions of Employment and Environmental Legislation<\/li>\n<li>An in-depth knowledge of technical engineering aspects such as outside equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and South Africa Bureau of Standards (SABS)<\/li>\n<li>A good working knowledge and understanding of machinery and equipment used in the Mining industry<\/li>\n<li>Aware of best practices and new technologies relating to Engineering Principles and Processes<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literacy: MS Office and SAP<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Please use Google Chrome as default browser when applying to enable the attachment of documents<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A CV with certified copies (certification within a 3-month period) of relevant qualifications, together with ID document &amp;
