External<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ref no: KHT062\/24GS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date: 19 June 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Mining Activity Engineer reports to the Section Manager Planning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities will include but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compiling designs, detailed plans and short-term schedules for major mining activities on the mine<\/li>\n<li>Compiling of weekly\/monthly\/quarterly and annual reconciliations as part of compliance to plan reporting<\/li>\n<li>Supply required information for weekly marketing and management plans<\/li>\n<li>Assist in compiling weekly review (planning) meetings presentation(s), as well as the monthly planning meeting<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with other Activity Engineers with regards to integration of mine plans<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with various other departments including, but not limited, Survey, Geology, Environmental, Mining, Metallurgy and Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Assist with annual budget\/LOM process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Diploma\/Degree in Mining Engineering with MO Certificate\u00a0<strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Relevant underground mining qualifications (MO Certificate advantageous)\u00a0<strong>WITH<\/strong>\u00a0recognition and recommendation for prior learning \/ experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"vacancy-description\">\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 6 years\u2019 experience with either; 2 years appointed as a Shiftboss in a relevant mining production environment\u00a0<strong>OR<\/strong>\u00a02 years relevant experience as Planning Officer<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Mine Planning software including, but not limited to Deswik, XPAC, 3D-dig, Microstation, Talpac, Dragsim<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of underground mining activities<\/li>\n<li>An appreciation of legislation relating to the mining industry, as well as applicable procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and variable workload<\/li>\n<li>Be willing and able to work overtime and over weekends if and when the requirement arises<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Good communication (verbal and written) skills<\/li>\n<li>A high regard for safety<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and own transport<\/li>\n<li>In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mine Overseer\u2019s Certificate of Competency<\/li>\n<li>Mine Manager\u2019s Certificate of Competency<\/li>\n<li>Recognition and recommendation for prior learning \/ experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Please use Google Chrome as default browser when applying to enable the attachment of documents<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A CV with certified copies (certification within a 3-month period) of relevant qualifications, together with ID document &amp;
