Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.<br \/>\n\u2022 Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2022 Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)<br \/>\n\u2022 Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.<\/p>\n<p><b>PEOPLE:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Supervise the Team:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure an enabling climate\/culture<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain labour stability by minimising labour turnover<br \/>\n\u2022 Labour complement in line with budget<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage performance against set targets and competencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure IDP\u2019s are linked to performance results and implemented as per plan<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly)<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2022 Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct recruitment interviews.<\/p>\n<p><b>CUSTOMERS:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure Customer Satisfaction<\/p>\n<p><b>BUSINESS PROCESSES:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Mining:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Inspect all workings in area of responsibility as frequently as may be deemed necessary by the Mine Health and Safely Act<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Inspect every working face blasted within 48hrs<br \/>\n\u2022 Inspect all other workings (not blasted) at least once a week at intervals not exceeding 10 days<br \/>\n\u2022 Daily, during shift inspection, visit all miners under his\/her supervision and ensure that work is proceeding safely under every mine section<br \/>\n\u2022 Record findings in the logbook<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure adequate material is available for safe production<br \/>\n\u2022 Measure blasted panels and plot on survey plan<\/p>\n<p><b>Tactical Planning:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor and control the Tactical Plan<br \/>\n\u2022 Achieve Mining Budget<\/p>\n<p><b>Growth:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Manage continuous improvement through Operational Excellence<\/p>\n<p><b>SHAREHOLDER VALUE:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor and control section costs<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-12 Certificate (Mining)<br \/>\n\u2022 Mineral Act Regulation (15.1) appointment<\/p>\n<p><b>Additional qualifications:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 At least\u00a05 Years relevant experience in Production, preferably 2 years Supervisory experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Medical fitness as per organisational requirements<br \/>\n\u2022 Competent A &amp; B<br \/>\n\u2022 Job Specific
