Duties & Responsibilities
This involves verifying supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to established payment schedules.
Verify and reconcile receipts and payments on Sage cashbook.
Reconcile cashbook entries to accounts receivables.
Reconcile cashbook entries to accounts payables.
Pass cashbook correcting journal entries.
Pass salaries journal entries.
Monthly reconciliation of petty cash accounts for all clinics.
Make weekly and monthly cashflow projections.
Maintain cashbook controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
Maintain & reconcile cashbook to the bank statements daily.
Processing of daily EFT and receipts including debit orders.
Follow up with clients regarding payment allocation.
Issuing, processing, and reconciling Petty Cash.
Compiling Cash Forecast daily and sending it to the Finance Team.
Compiling and processing combined report journal.
Provision for Bad Debt reconciliation.
Payment Accounts Reconciliation.
Inter transfers between the banks reconciliations.
Responsible for reconciling the following GL Accounts:
AR Unapplied Cash Matter.
AR Billing Receipt Cancelled.
AR Unallocated Receipts Prior Month.
Revenue reconciliations
Ensure that Till shortages are reported to management
Reconciliation of possible Write Off – fees.
Bank Charges.
Exchange profits / (losses) – Realized.
AR Settlement Discount Granted.
Transfer (TR) Bank.
Bank Reconciliations for various branches.
Intercompany Billings Reconciliation.
Processing Interest Received journal.
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Filing/General Administration.
Assisting Business Services Accountant with month-end activities.
Assisting CFO & Financial Manager with ad hoc financial tasks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
National Diploma in Bookkeeping or Finance will be advantageous.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
SAGE 200 or Any accounting system experience.
Customer service orientated with high working standards

Driver’s license

3 – 5 years working experience as a Cashbook Officer / Senior Cashbook Clerk

Proven working experience in Account Receivables

Knowledge of Financial Information systems, processes and analysis of database
