Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is looking for Pickers in Benoni area:
Warehouse Picker, will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing items for shipment according to customer orders and will have to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring that products are picked efficiently and meet quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Order Picking:
- Accurately pick items from shelves based on customer orders using a scanner or pick list.
- Ensure items are picked in the correct quantities and in good condition.
- Packing:
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring that all packing materials are used efficiently.
- Label and tag packages accurately according to company standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Replenish stock levels as needed and ensure proper organization of inventory.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Report any issues with inventory or packaging to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as required and with proper training.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric/Grade 12
- 2 – 3 Years experience in the warehouse
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
Package & Remuneration
R34.37 Per Hour
