Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Laundry Worker Level II position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Relevant laundry or factory experience will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Must be willing and able to work night shifts.
- This role requires individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to handle repetitive tasks in a production-based laundry environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a range of laundry operations that support public healthcare facilities. Duties include:
- Loading and unloading linen from industrial laundry machines.
Sorting, counting, and folding linen accurately. - Ironing and pressing linen using industrial pressing and ironing machines.
- Sealing and labeling linen bags with appropriate tags.
Maintaining cleanliness and order in the working area and ensuring equipment is kept in good condition. - Counting linen deliveries to ensure accuracy.
Distributing clean linen and collecting dirty linen from designated points. - The Laundry Worker Level II will play a critical role in ensuring hospitals and healthcare facilities receive clean, hygienic linen in compliance with safety and health regulations.
