Mirabilis a subsidiary of Santam has a position available for an Insurance Policy Administrator who will be based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Job Description:

The main purpose of this position is to manage (Sales and Underwriting) the Johannesburg branch “Brokers under R250,000 GWP” portfolio and provide support to the existing Regional Marketing Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Issuing of quotations within agreed mandate
  • Assist Current Broker to increase business growth
  • Educate current brokers on engineering insurance products
  • Maintain Current Broker relationship
  • Solving of queries on instruction between various departments and from brokers
  • Provide renewal review and terms assistance to Administration department team
  • Portfolio premium growth and loss ratio management
  • Search and recruit new Broker relationship in the market
  • Power point presentation preparation
  • Material Preparation for training functions
  • Research for Marketing Presentations
  • Team coordination within marketing department

Desired Experience & Qualification



  • Matric
  • Engineering Degree or Business related qualification
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years Engineering Insurance Underwriting and Sales Experience
  • First Level Regulatory Examination
  • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office – proficiency in Word, Excel PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license advantageous
  • Preferably at least 1 year quoting experience
