The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Management of Broiler Farms processes with the aim of maximizing production and quality
- Management of staff on the farm
- Managing all labour related issues
- Full Control of production processes and responsible for maintaining production standards in terms of quality and volumes
- Implementation and maintaining the 20 keys system.
- Maintaining Risk Control/Occupational Health/Bio Security requirements and standards as per relevant legislation and Astral Standard Operating Practices.
- Control of farm budget and company assets
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Matric or Equivalent qualification
- Must be familiar with the Poultry industry
- At least 3 years’ experience in Broiler flock management
- Fluent in English and an additional official language
- Must be able to work in a highly pressured environment
- Self-motivated and should have excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team environment is a key requirement
- Must be target and deadline driven
- Proven administration ability
- Must be computer literate
- Must have a valid code 08 driver’s license
