Diesel Mechanic

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Maintain, Service and Repair all vehicles and equipment
• Fault finding on machinery and improvements
• Testing of all safety features and mechanisms
• Attend to breakdowns with urgency
• Ensure that company assets are clean and in a good working condition
• Maintaining the working areas to accepted standards, general housekeeping
• Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the workshop
• Participate in 20 Keys Projects

 

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Matric
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working similar position
• Technical/ Mechanical Background is a must have
• Previous experience on Hino 300, 500, and 700 will be advantageous
• Fluent in English and a second official language
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required
• Must be able to work independently and cope well under pressure
• Must have good communication, problem solving and planning skills
• Must have a valid Code 14 driver’s license
